Swimming is a life skill as well as great exercise and a challenging sport. The Y offers swim lessons (for all ages), family swim, community swim, private lessons, and a summer time adaptive swim program for kids with special needs, so we can all safely enjoy the pleasures of an aquatic environment.
At the Y, we have a passion for teaching children to learn to swim, are committed to giving the entire community opportunities to use the pool for fun and exercise, and are the local swimming and teaching experts.
YOUTH SWIM LESSONS
The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active along with developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. Group lessons are the ideal fit for your child to start learning to swim and to make new friends. The Y Aquatics program believes children can build character while they learn to swim and we believe this opportunity should be available to anyone. Preschool lessons are limited to 5 participants to each class and Youth lessons are limited to 6 participants per class.

OTTER & ADAPTIVE SWIM LESSONS
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn how to swim. Our inclusive Summer Otter Program is designed for swimmers with special needs and their siblings. There is a small swimmer-to-teacher ratio for children to learn basic swimming skills while having fun!
