COVID-19 Virus Update

We have been diligently monitoring all national and local updates surrounding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation. In compliance with Governor Jay Inslee's state-wide mandate, we will be closing our Hoag Road and Bakerview facilities to the public effective March 16, at 12 noon. This will include all programming unless otherwise specified by your facilitator.

We understand this is a concerning and rapidly-evolving situation. The Skagit Valley Family YMCA has been a pillar of the community for more than a century, throughout both the good and the challenging times. The decision to close our facilities was made to best ensure the safety of everyone in our community while complying with the state-wide mandate. We will continue to monitor this situation and will work with local officials to determine what future actions will be necessary.

During this closure, we will provide updates and information directly to staff, members and participants via email, website, and social media channels: Facebook and Instagram (@skagitymca)

We are asking everyone to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and the Skagit County Health Department.

You may be wondering what you and your family can do to help the Y and the greater Skagit community during this time. One simple way is through maintaining your membership. Your membership dollars directly support our Oasis Teen Shelter, an essential service for vulnerable youth, which will remain open. Your membership will also support our dedicated staff, who will be stepping up during this time to provide aid to first responders and healthcare professionals through childcare and other vital services.

We appreciate your continued support as we all work to navigate this challenging situation. Please stay tuned for email, website and social media updates in the coming days and weeks.
