AOA participants went to watch the Mariners vs. St. Louis Cardinals game on June 26th. Either a lot of folks who live in the Northwest are from St. Louis, or the Cardinals are such a successful team, but almost half the crowd was sporting Cardinal jerseys and hats. The game was very exciting and the lead went back and forth until the Cardinals went on a home run binge. Altogether there were 8 home runs. The Mariners hit 2 home runs and the Cardinals hit 6. Many in the group said they had never seen so many home runs in one game before. The weather was fantastic with bright sunshine and we had some great lunches from the Skagit Valley Food Co-op. All in all it was a great day for baseball!
