Youth Activities

We believe all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.  Sometimes kids want a break from sports while still having a safe and fun experience with other kids.  The Y is now offering more opportunities for youth to get together to play, learn, and grow with each other.

Inspire your child with art. The Y is now offering art classes where kids will have fun learning new skills and developing their creativity. Each session offered will be on a different element of art. Kids will learn basics and build on their skills while creating a portfolio of their work that they can share it with friends and family. Art supplies will be provided for them during class.

Does your little one love to dance? Introduce your child to the art of ballet! The Y is excited to now offer Bitty & Beginning Ballet. This class will be a 6 week session that will introduce students to ballet exercises, positions, rhythm, and expression. Participants will also learn a dance to present to their parents for the final class. Ballet slippers recommended, tutus encouraged!

DISCOVERY CAMP (on hold for 2017)
Find a new way to look at the world and spark new interests in Discovery Camp! We will explore our surroundings with scavenger hunts, animal detective games, and rock identification including breaking open geodes.

Family time at the Y is about giving families opportunities to strengthen relationships, develop new skills and interests, improve their health and well-being, and connect to the community.  Join us for our holiday themed Family Nights throughout the year.

Join us for our annual Healthy Kids Day, we'll kick off the event with a fun run followed by activities and information to help educate and inform kids and parents how to stay active and learning this summer.

At the Y, we understand not every child enjoys sports, but we think every child should have the opportunity to be challenged, learn, grow, and be creative! Lego Camp/Club is the perfect opportunity to inspire your 6-12 year old. Using our specialized LEGO® kits, our staff will teach lessons guaranteed to provide a creative, positive, and fun learning experience for kids ages 6 to 12.
