You have likely heard the exciting news that many COVID-19 restrictions have now been lifted in Washington State. As we have previously mentioned, we will not be going “back to normal”, rather, our Y will be establishing a new normal.

Beginning Tuesday, July 6th we will be making the following modifications:

  • In accordance with Washington’s reopening guidelines, face coverings will not be required for vaccinated individuals at Hoag Road and Bakerview. The WA State Secretary of Health’s mask order will remain in place for those who are not fully vaccinated.
  • We will be moving to a hybrid pool model where reservations are encouraged, but drop-in times will be available on a first come, first served basis. In the lap pool, lanes 1-4 will require a reservation and lanes 5 & 6 will be open for drop-ins. The rec pool will also have an increased number of reservations available as well as some drop-in slots. Steam rooms will remain closed for the time being.
  • Reservations will no longer be required to use the Wellness Center and there will no longer be a time limit for how long you can utilize the track, cardio, or weight equipment.
  • Some group fitness classes will resume in person and others will continue to be offered virtually. No matter the class format, reservations will continue to be required for all group fitness classes.
  • Guests and drop-ins are now welcome!

Due to staffing limitations, Y Kids’ @ Hoag will remain closed for the time being. Bitty Y Day Camp will continue to be available to families from 9am-1pm M-Th. Also, please note that if extreme heat forces Y Discover Camp to relocate to Hoag Road, they will be given priority in certain Y spaces.

Hoag Road and Bakerview will be CLOSED for the holiday on Monday, July 5th.
