Dear Y Family,

In response to updated state guidelines for fitness centers, we have a few updates to our Hoag Road safety policies and procedures that will begin on Thursday, November 5th. These updates will allow us to safely welcome additional members and programs back to the Y while ensuring that social distancing and frequent sanitation practices are maintained. These updates include:

  • All members must enter through the main doors of the Y and check-in at the Welcome Center.

  • Temperature checks when entering the facility will now be optional. A thermometer will be available for use at the front doors.

  • Locker rooms will be open as a transit space to and from the pool.
    – Lockers and showers will remain closed. Swimmers will still be required to rinse off on the pool deck before entering the pool.
    – Changing spaces and restrooms will be open.
    – Masks are required in the locker rooms.
    – We encourage those who do not need to use the locker rooms to avoid doing so to help our team safely limit the number of people in that space.
    – Locker rooms will be sanitized every hour.

  • One guardian is allowed per child in the gym. All guardians are required to check-in at the Welcome Center upon arrival.

  • Reminder: Only one member is allowed in each zone in the Wellness Center at a time. Up to two members from the same household may share a zone.
    – The free weight area is open for reservation for ages 16+. No more than 3 individuals are allowed in the free weight space at a time.

  • You may now exit the building through Welcome Center and East gym doors by the Sports office.

We hope to see you soon!
