Blended Learning

Blended Preschool (offered in partnership with the Sedro-Woolley School District) focuses on the developmental needs of children ages 3 – 4 years old and uses a curriculum that aligns with local school districts to ensure kindergarten readiness.

This program is blended, which means children with special needs and typically developing children learn alongside one another. This helps all children develop problem-solving skills while practicing kindness, compassion, and respect.

Did you know? Our childcare programs have tiered pricing: a member rate and a non-member rate. The discounted member rate is available to families who have an active Family Membership at the main Y at Hoag.

2025-2026 Fees (effective September 1, 2025)

Member Pricing:

3 days/week: $240/month

Non-Member Pricing:

3 days/week: $275/month

There is a $80 annual registration fee per child.

Fees are subject to change.

Blended Preschool is part-time care only. Hours are as follows:

Tuesday, Thursday:

  • AM Care (9:30am-12:30pm)
  • PM Care (1:00-4:00pm)

Wednesday:

  • AM Care (10:30am-12:30pm)
  • PM Care (1:30-4:00pm)

If you are looking for full-time preschool care, our Early Learning Centers offer full-time care.

No, this program does not accept Y for All discounts.

The blended classroom maintains a ratio of 15 students to every 2 teachers (1 Y staff for every 10 YMCA children enrolled and 1 school district staff for every 5 district children).
