Safety Around Water
Safety around water is central to our Y. Every year, too many preventable water accidents and drownings occur, so the Y is doing its part to help educate and teach Skagitonians of all ages how to be safe around any type of water, not just our pool.
Swim For Life
Learning to swim is an essential skill for all ages. As the largest provider of swim lessons in the country, the Y helps people gain the comfort and confidence to enjoy swimming as a lifelong activity.
Community Safety Courses
The Skagit Valley Family YMCA has partnered with the American Red Cross to provide Community Safety courses at the Y, including Lifeguarding, First Aid/CPR, and Babysitters Training.
Swim Team
The Skagit Valley Family YMCA Aquatics team (SVYA) is a year-round dual YMCA/USA competitive swim team. We offer high quality coaching and technical instruction based on the swimmers age and ability.
