Camp Anderson
Camp Anderson is camp that takes place at Lake Sixteen in rural Skagit County and is open to youth entering first through seventh grade.
Campers spend a week on the shores of Lake Sixteen filled with swimming, canoeing, archery, arts and crafts, woods games, and other fun activities. One day each week will be a field trip day to a location in Skagit County.
Camp will run 8 weeks during the summer.
Week 1: June 26 – June 30 (Field Trip/Event of the week: Little Mountain Hike)
Week 2: July 5 – July 7 (Field Trip/Event of the week: Dunk Tank)
Week 3: July 10 – July 14 (Field Trip/Event of the week: Whatcom Y Climbing Wall/Boulevard Park)
Week 4: July 17 – July 21 (Field Trip/Event of the week: Skagit Skate)
Week 5: July 24 – July 28 (Field Trip/Event of the week: Deception Pass/West Beach)
Week 6: July 31 – August 4 (Field Trip/Event of the week: Birch Bay Waterslides)
Week 7: August 7 – August 11 (Field Trip/Event of the week: Skagit County Fair)
Week 8: August 14 – August 18 (Field Trip/Event of the week: End of summer barbecue and ice cream party at Lake Padden)
Camp takes place from 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.
Y Member Cost: $275/week
Non-Member Cost: $325/week
5 week max for YMCA members and 3 week max for Community Members. Camp must be paid in full two weeks prior to session.
There is a $50 nonrefundable fee charged at registration to secure your spot at camp.

You may be waitlisted for a week of camp if it fills up. You can expect an email and phone call from a Y staff member one week prior to the week of camp you’re waitlisted for if your child can attend camp or not.
Based on participant feedback, we’re returning to having just one camp at Lake Sixteen for all age groups. The younger kids who attended Discover Camp last year will now get to spend equal amount of time at Lake Sixteen as the older kids.
Kids entering grades 1-3 will be considered “Explorers” and kids entering grades 4-7 will be considered “Trailblazers.” Kids will participate in activities with similar aged youth.
Camp schedule varies each week, but campers can expect to participate in group activities, swimming time, lunch, a field trip, and more.
Drop-Off: 7:30-8:30am (Bakerview Sports Center)
Pick-Up: 4:30-5:30pm (Bakerview Sports Center)

Y Kids Summer Day Camp
Y Kids Summer Day Camp is licensed* camp that takes place at various elementary schools in Skagit County and is open to youth entering first through sixth grade.
Character development, emotional growth, and exploration are key pillars of this camp, and weekly themes, games, and activities for all interests provide campers with a great experience!
(*Families who receive subsidies can receive financial assistance)

Week 6: July 31 – August 4 (Theme: Listen to your Art)

- 3:00-3:30pm: Afternoon Snack (Provided by the Y)

- 5:00-5:30pm: Table Top Stations
Field Trips happen 3 or 4 times per week between the hours of 9:30am – 4:00pm.
Activity Schedules and Newsletters will be sent the Friday before each week of camp.

- Sunscreen, labeled with name.
- Walking shoes (we walk A LOT) and waters shoes for water play.
- Swimsuit and Towel for daily water activities.
- Please do not bring any toys from home, including but not limited to spending money, stuffed animals, all electronics (video games, tablets, etc.) and trading cards.
- Cell phones, smart watches, or any other device that plays music, takes pictures or records video/sound or sends/receives calls or text are not allowed.

Bitty Y Day Camp
Bitty Y Day Camp is camp that takes place at Hoag Road and is open to youth ages three to seven years old.
Each week of camp will have a specific theme (example themes include superheroes, space, the ocean, etc.) and campers can expect to participate in fun activities that encourage creative expression, physical movement, and teamwork!
Camp will run 8 weeks during the summer.
Week 1: June 26 – June 29 (Theme: Color Explosion)
Week 2: July 5 – July 6 (Theme: Animal Week)
Week 3: July 10 – July 13 (Theme: Explore our Universe)
Week 4: July 17 – July 20 (Theme: Dinosaurs)
Week 5: July 24 – July 27 (Theme: Design your own Hero)
Week 6: July 31 – August 3 (Theme: Explore the Oceans)
Week 7: August 7 – August 10 (Theme: Creepy Crawly)
Week 8: August 14 – August 17 (Theme: Summer Explosion)
Camp takes place from 9:00am – 1:00pm, Monday – Thursday.

- Swimsuit and sunscreen for water play (Note: campers will NOT be swimming in the Y’s pool; any water activity will be an outdoor activity like running through a sprinkler, slip n’ slide, water balloons, etc.)
- Lunch and snack (the Y will not be providing any food, so make sure your camper has enough food to stay energized during the 4-hour camp)
