Care for your children
The Skagit Valley Family YMCA provides affordable, safe, and quality childcare that nurtures the potential of every child. Our programs teach the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility for all Skagit County parents and children, regardless of income or background.
Families come to Y childcare programs for reliable, licensed, and trusted care for their children, convenient locations around Skagit County, and affordable programs that don’t compromise on quality. Need proof? We were named Best Childcare Provider in 2023 in Skagit Publishing’s Best of the Best Skagit Valley Community Choice Awards.
With more than 60 licensed staff across three Early Learning Centers, six before- and after-school sites, three summer camps, and dual-language programs (coming soon), our childcare programs are intended to meet the unique needs of families across our diverse Skagit community.
We offer Y member pricing, accept DCYF subsidies, and provide Y for All financial assistance to qualifying families*. (*Except Blended Preschool)
Early Learning
- Infant, Waddler, Toddler, PreK, Preschool classrooms (Ages birth – 6 years)
- Centers in Mount Vernon and Burlington
- Dual-Language classroom (coming soon to Laventure ELC)

- Before- and After-School care (grades Kindergarten – 5th grade)
- Sites in Mount Vernon, Burlington-Edison, Sedro-Woolley, and Anacortes School Districts

Blended Preschool
- Blended Classroom (children with special needs and typically developing children learn alongside one another)
- Ages 3-4
- Part-time care (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Offered in partnership with Sedro-Woolley School District
