Our mission at YMCA Oasis is to serve youth ages 13-17 in the Skagit Valley community. We provide teens with the support they need to improve their lives. Whether it be home-cooked meals, therapeutic support, or case management services, we’re here to help you find your path to a brighter future.
Oasis Teen Shelter
Our YMCA Oasis Teen Shelter provides youth with a safe place to spend the night every day of the year. Other than being age 13-17, there are no strict eligibility requirements.
Youth might need to stay overnight for a variety of reasons, such as family conflict, crisis, feeling unsafe at home, not having anywhere to go, or just needing a healthy break from family. No reason is not valid! We are first-come, first-served, and all youth have access to a case manager who will work with them and their family to locate safe, stable, and permanent housing.
- 91-day stay confidential Emergency Shelter for homeless or runaway teens ages 13-17.
- Low barrier, first come first serve.
- 9 warm beds, home cooked meals, showers, laundry services, a clothing closet, and case management to help you find permanent housing.

Ways to support Oasis
The YMCA Oasis Teen Center serves youth every night of the year with the support of our community. We depend on the community to support us with their gently worn clothing, enough food to feed very hungry teenagers, certain household items, and, of course, monetary support.
The YMCA Oasis Teen Shelter would not be available for youth in our community without the generous support of our community. A special thank you to our sponsors and community partners:
- Jack & Shirley McIntyre Foundation
- Jerry H. Walton Foundation
- Medina Foundation
- NW Children’s Fund
- Leadership Skagit
- and more!
