Open Enrollment season is an annual period when individuals can review, update, or change their health insurance benefits for the upcoming year. It is the ideal time to assess current coverage options and ensure access to programs that support ongoing health and wellness, such as fitness memberships through insurance partnerships. In 2026, the Skagit Valley Family YMCA will offer several insurance membership options designed to help members maintain a healthy living routine.

As a friendly reminder, here are the steps you can take to be prepared for 2026:
- Contact your Insurance Provider
- Check in with your insurance provider during your enrollment period to see if they are offering one of the above fitness programs accepted at the Skagit Valley Family YMCA.
- Obtain your Fitness ID Number
- Ask for your plan’s Fitness ID number, which you’ll need to begin or renew your membership in person at the Skagit Valley Family YMCA.
- Visit the Y and enjoy!
- After January 1, 2026, bring your Fitness ID number and a valid ID to the Skagit Valley Family YMCA (1901 Hoag Road, Mount Vernon) and our Welcome Center Team will help you begin or resume your membership.
Important Reminders
- If you renew through one of the above programs, you’ll need to provide your 2026 Fitness ID to the Welcome Center team after January 1, 2026. All insurance-based memberships deactivate each December, so reactivation is required.
- If your insurance plan doesn’t include one of these programs, you’re still welcome to join the Y with one of our standard membership options. Our team at the Welcome Center will be happy to help you find the right plan for you. Our Y for All financial assistance program provides income-based discounts and can reduce the price of membership. Learn more at www.skagitymca.org/y-for-all/.
Thank you for choosing the Skagit Valley Family YMCA as your place for health, community, and connection!
