Join us for a Lunch and Learn event with Elena Rivera-Galaz on May 20, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the Community Room and learn all about protein! In addition to learning about what protein is, Elena will help you calculate your individual protein needs. This event is a valuable opportunity to learn practical and science-backed information on protein intake and how to tailor it to your individual needs for better health outcomes. Open to all ages!
Protein is essential for maintaining healthy tissues, building muscle, replacing worn-out cells, transporting nutrients, creating antibodies, and repairing and rebuilding the body. It is a fundamental building block for bones, tissues, skin, hair, and organs, playing a pivotal role in overall health.
Eating a diverse array of protein sources is important to meet the body’s needs effectively, as the body cannot produce all essential amino acids on its own and must obtain them from the diet. Elena will share more information on how you can vary your protein intake to ensure a healthy body!
Elena Rivera-Galaz is a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer with credentials including Precision Nutrition Level 1 and 2 certification.
