Join us for the following upcoming Lunch and Learn Sessions!

Backgammon with Bruce Scott (May 2, 2024; 2:00-3:00pm, Community Room)

Learn to play or brush up on your skill with Bruce Scott. Backgammon is a two-player board game played with counters and dice on tables boards. It is the most widespread Western member of the large family of tables games, whose ancestors date back nearly 5,000 years to the regions of Mesopotamia and Persia.

Backgammon is a two-player game of contrary movement in which each player has fifteen pieces known traditionally as men (short for ‘tablemen’), but increasingly known as ‘checkers’ in the United States in recent decades, analogous to the other board game of Checkers.

Holy Land Presentation with David Sharon (May 13, 2024; 1:00-2:00pm, Community Room)

Have you ever wondered what the Garden of Gethsemane or the Mount of Olives looked like? Would you like to see the reputed sites of Jesus’ birth…or death? Join David for a slideshow trip to 1955 in the Holy Lands. The photos are fantastic and David’s narrative is fascinating.
