Changing lives of Skagit Youth: A deep dive into the Y's Sedro-Woolley Rec Center
Join us for an informative session about the Y’s Sedro-Woolley Rec Center based out of the old Sedro-Woolley Library.
The Rec Center is a place where local youth can relax, do homework, socialize, and access critical resources like hot meals, fresh hygiene supplies, and clothing at no cost. It also serves as the hub for the Y’s Street Outreach Services program where staff connect with unaccompanied homeless youth across Skagit County and provide case management and resources.
Learn more about what a day at the Rec Center is like, hear stories from the staff who provide services to Skagit Youth, and see pictures of the space. Plus, learn more about plans for a remodel project taking place at the Rec Center this summer!
Presenters include:
- Llyra Roe, Drop-In Services Manager
- Ky Parrott, Outreach Operations Manager
- Marie Carlson, Interim Executive Director of Social Impact
