We are excited to announce the Skagit Y Changemakers Circle, a special club for Skagit Y members and donors who make recurring gifts to the Y in support of our programs and services serving Skagit County residents. Recurring giving provides steady funding for Y programs that allow kids, families, and neighbors to have access to safe, healthy spaces all year long.
Why routine gifts matter:
When funding fluctuates, consistent individual donors help keep programs up and running. Recurring gifts:
- Cover everyday costs that keep doors open and lights on.
- Help us say “yes” to families seeking financial assistance.
- Ensure youth programs and community spaces stay stable, not stop-and-start.
A small recurring gift each month can add up over time. For example,
- At the Sedro-Woolley Rec Center, help fund a week’s worth of healthy food and snacks for Skagit Youth by giving $25/month. After one year, this equals $300!
- At the Oasis Youth Shelter, support ongoing services and safe shelter nights for youth by giving $50/month. After one year, this equals $600!
- Opens the pool doors for underserved youth to learn life-saving swimming skills by giving $100/month. After one year, this equals $1200!
Recurring donors’ enduring, consistent support makes the important work the Skagit Y does in the community possible. Because of their steady generosity, more kids learn to swim, more families find connection, and more seniors feel supported and seen. We’re deeply grateful — and we want these donors to feel the impact they’re making every day. To showcase our gratitude, Skagit Y Changemakers Circle members will receive:
- Inspiring impact stories: Through our Impact Bulletin and inspiring emails filled with real stories from community members, you’ll see the difference your continued giving makes — and experience the joy and fulfillment of knowing you helped change someone’s life for the better.
- Meaningful recognition: As a recurring donor, your name will appear in the Y’s annual Impact Report, on the TV monitor at the Y, and at our Celebration of the Skagit Y event. These acknowledgments not only honor your generosity but also give you a sense of belonging and shared accomplishment within a community of like-minded changemakers.
- A small token of gratitude: To celebrate your ongoing commitment, you’ll receive an annual Y-branded swag gift — a visible reminder of the difference you’re making every month. Wear or use it proudly, knowing it symbolizes the compassion and consistency that fuel the Skagit Y’s mission every single day.
Your gift continues automatically until you tell us to change it. You stay in control, and the Y gains stability to plan programs, staff, and services with confidence.
How to get started:
Giving to the Y on a monthly, quarterly, or other recurring basis is straightforward to set up and can be automated so that you don’t need to worry about your funds going to the Y and making an immediate impact.
- Skagit Y members:
- Log into your membership account and create a recurring donation from the “Donation” tab by clicking on the purple “Give Now button.
- Visit the front desk to add a recurring gift to your monthly membership draft — no extra bill to manage!
- Community supporters:
- Visit our secure giving page and select the giving frequency that works best for you.
