Our Y School-Age program is offered for children in grades K-5 before and after school. These programs provide an extension of the school day as we work closely with teachers to reinforce learning from the classroom. Our staff provide a balance of playtime and enrichment time for children. Whether your child is participating in a structured activity or free play, our staff consistently teach all Y children the Y values of caring, honest, respect, and responsibility by demonstrating and reinforcing positive behaviors.
Care During COVID-19
Throughout the pandemic, our School-Age program has adapted to meet our community’s greatest needs. We are working in partnership with the Mount Vernon, Burlington-Edison, Sedro Woolley, and Anacortes school districts to provide full-day care and virtual learning assistance for school-age children. Sites include:
- Harriet Rowley Elementary
- Jefferson Elementary
- Mary Purcell Elementary
- Westview Elementary
- Whitney Elementary
- Washington Elementary
Our School-Age program is always available when you need care. We provide care before and after school throughout the school year. Plus, we are open for winter, spring and summer break (except major holidays).
All locations are licensed by the Department of Children, Youth & Family and accept DSHS subsidies. Other scholarships are available for those who qualify.
