At the Skagit Y, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment where our community can thrive. To uphold this commitment, we will be closing our Hoag Road facility from August 16 through August 24 for our annual Facility Improvement Week.
This dedicated week allows us to perform essential maintenance and upgrades that ensure our facility remainsa clean, comfortable, and state-of-the-art space for all members and guests. Over time, regular wear and tear can impact the quality of our spaces, and these improvements help us maintain the high standards you expect and deserve.
This year, our projects include:
- Resurfacing the gymnasium and Studio A floors to provide a safer, smoother surface for your workouts and classes
- Locker room maintenance and repairs to enhance comfort and functionality
- Deep carpet cleaning in the upstairs wellness and office areas to refresh and brighten our shared spaces
- Deep cleaning the Rec Pool to restore its sparkle, improve water quality, and give you the freshest swim experience possible
- Painting projects to brighten and revitalize our facility’s interior
- And other projects behind the scenes, like maintenance on our water heating system, pool filtration system, etc.
We understand how important your routine is, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we take this time to invest in the facility we all enjoy. During this closure, please take advantage of your Nationwide Y membership by visiting other nearby Y locations, such as the Stanwood-Camano YMCA and the Whatcom Family YMCA. These Ys offer great programs and facilities to keep you active and connected while we improve our home base.
Thank you for being part of our YMCA community!
