Summer 2025 Swim Lesson Registration Open!

At the Skagit Y, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn how to swim and be safe around water. Our swim lessons are designed to nurture skills, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of swimming for kids, teens, and adults of all ages and abilities. The YMCA is a trusted leader in aquatics, committed to helping individuals and families develop essential water safety skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Our Swim Lessons program is tailored to meet the needs of different age groups and abilities in our community:

  • For Infants: You’re never too young to start getting comfortable in the water! Our Stage A and B Lessons get parents and infants in the water together to start little ones and adults alike on the path to being safe in the water.
  • For Youth/Pre-Teens: Swim Lessons are an essential part of growing up! Our Stage 1-6 Lessons are built to help get youth acclimated to water, learn basic safety skills, and develop stroke techniques to enjoy swimming as a lifelong skill.
  • For Adults: Just as you’re not too young to learn how to swim, you’re never too old, either! Our Teen/Adult Swim Lessons are tailored to teens/adults who never had the chance to learn how to swim or want to gain additional comfort in water.
