Help us remodel the Sedro-Woolley Rec Center!
Each afternoon, the Sedro-Woolley Rec Center opens its doors as a free, welcoming space where local middle- and high-schoolers can connect with friends, focus on schoolwork, and access essentials they may not have at home. It’s more than a drop-in site—it’s a steady, supportive environment where teens can grow, feel seen, and build confidence during some of the most formative years of their lives.
The impact is both powerful and measurable. In just the first quarter of 2026, the Rec Center welcomed more than 2,200 youth visits and provided more than 1,900 meals—ensuring that young people not only have a place to belong, but also the nourishment they need to thrive.
Now, we have an opportunity to do even more: we’re remodeling the Rec Center to better serve today’s middle and high schoolers—creating a refreshed, safe, and inclusive space that reflects the vital role it plays in their lives. Planned improvements include an expanded kitchen, updated flooring, on-site laundry, and ADA-accessible bathrooms—all designed to meet growing needs and breathe new life into this important community hub.
We’re close—but not there yet. With approximately $200,000 left to raise, we’re excited that the Keller Foundation, a generous partner based in Vancouver, WA, has expressed strong support for this project and is stepping up to match half of what remains. That means your gift today will go twice as far in helping us reach the finish line.
When you support the Rec Center, you’re not just supporting a program — you’re helping create a place where youth feel safe, seen, and supported. And that kind of space can change everything.
