From fostering multi-generational social connections to nurturing at-risk youth living in Skagit County, we’re proud to have served Skagit County residents for more than 100 years, and we look forward to serving generations to come.
As we continue to invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors this spring, I want to share a free online resource available to all Skagit Y members that can help you take care of yourself and your loved ones. We’ve partnered with FreeWill, a trusted platform whose user-friendly tool guides you through writing or updating your will in just 20 minutes at no cost.
May is Leave a Legacy Month, so now’s a great time to think about the legacy you’d like to have!
By recording your wishes in a will, you can:
- Protect the people and pets in your life
- Plan for the distribution of all your assets
- Build a legacy that supports our programs, services, and initiatives well into the future (if you choose)
Whether you’re creating your first will or updating an old one, now is the perfect opportunity to plan ahead, designate beneficiaries of non-probate assets, and, if the Skagit Y has shaped your life story, you’ll have the option to make a bequest that supports future generations of Skagit Y members and participants.
If you have created your will and decided to include a gift to the Skagit YMCA in your plans, please let us know using this link. We would love to thank you and ensure our records are up-to-date.
