Lunch and Learn, Pam Putney, Reimbursements and Contract Specialist, Hospice of the Northwest, February 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM,

There comes a time in everyone’s life that our treatment options for chronic and acute illnesses are not going to provide the cure we are looking for. When that time comes, you may want to consider hospice and comfort care over treatment. Hospice of the Northwest has been serving hospice patients for several decades.  This presentation focuses on the myths and realities of hospice care and why enrolling in hospice early in the process provides the patient and their circle of support a wonderful experience.

AOA Lunch and Learn January 22, 2025, 1:30 – 2:30 PM, Doors of the Community Room open at 1:00 PM.

Learn about the Skagit Y’s Social Impact programs with Kat Lohman, Executive Director of Social Impact, and Danielle Vincent, Oasis Youth Shelter Manager.

The Skagit Y’s Social Impact division is committed to walking alongside young people ages 12-24 in their journey to not only survive but thrive. Our work centers young people as the experts in their own experience, offering the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed on their terms.

The work of our Social Impact division, which aligns with the Y’s Social Responsibility area of impact, is to be attentive to the “every” in everyone—especially our neighbors who might be most marginalized or have the least access to places of belonging.

This Lunch and Learn is the first of several on the topic of youth homelessness and will focus on an overview of Social Impact programs, plus highlight the Oasis Youth Shelter.

Coffee, tea and a small snack provided.
