Taekwondo

Taekwondo

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that uses the legs/feet to attack and the hands/arms to block. It is the largest martial art in the world in terms of practitioners and is only one of two martial arts in the Olympics (the other being the Japanese grappling art of Judo). The words Tae (stomp), Kwon (fist) Do (way of) are loosely translated as “the way of the hand and the foot.”

Participants in this program will be taught by Master Jong Kyu Heo, Grand Master of Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do and Kum Do, and his assistant instructors. Master Jong is a 6th Dan black belt with decades of experience as a taekwondo master. His assistants are black belts who are on learning leadership principles to become better instructors themselves.
